In the meantime, HERRMANN can boast as many patents and property rights as it has years of operation. The subsidiary Herrmann Innovations GmbH was founded in 1990 as L-Tec to accompany Herrmann's new developments worldwide and to support them on the market.
Boasting development marketing and service in-house, a dedicated international team examines tried-and-tested, often forgotten, approaches and combines them with todayās requirements and modern technology. By thinking in terms of complete systems, and including such considerations as sustainability and environmental awareness, highly relevant technologies are brought back to life and brought into the future.

The 70's
1970
Founded by the current CEO Johannes Herrmann at the age of 21.
1971
Start of cooperation with BASF, which has now been in existence for 50 years.
1972
Opening of first official store and warehouse, specialising in vehicle painting equipment and workshop equipment.
1973
Expansion of business activities to include ventilation technology and paint booths.
1976
First purpose-built company Headquarters.
The 80's & 90's
1980 - 1990
Development of the first HERRMANN servicing lifts. Expansion, innovation, internationalization
1990
Founding of Herrmann Innovations GmbH (formerly Herrmann Lack-Technik) as Herrmann Groups responsible authority for new innovations.
1991 - 1992
- Opening of branches in Dresden, Bratislava. Opening of Prague branch.
1996 - 1997
Founding of Herrmann AG as a manufacturer of hydraulic lifting platforms. Development of the innovative water-hydraulic lifting platform.
The 2000's - 2010's
2000 - 2010
Further innovative developments. The Herrmann Group currently holds over 50 patents.
2017
Son David Herrmann takes over operational management of the lifting platform division (Herrmann AG).
2018
Market launch of IONSTAR, the ground-breaking tool for a quicker, cleaner perfect paint finish.
2019
Expansion. IONSTAR gains wide acceptance and is now used in over 40 countries.
The 2020's
2020
Market launch of the DESIĀ® product family of innovative, environmentally friendly, air and surface purification systems.
2021
Presentation of the DESI DRY decentralized air conditioning systems. The state-of-the-art indoor air hygiene technology with min. installation requirements.
